1. Use of the app
Rekky is a platform for short, honest book recommendations from real people. By using Rekky, you agree to these terms and to using the app in a respectful, lawful manner. Rekky is operated by Rekky Pty Ltd, a company registered in Australia.
2. Accounts
You agree to provide truthful information when creating your account and not to impersonate anyone else. Your Rekky name (username) will be visible to others when you post, comment, or like content. We sign you in using one-time passcodes sent to your email, so you don't need to set or remember a password.
3. Your content and rights
You retain ownership of any content you submit to Rekky. By posting content, you grant Rekky a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable licence to store, use, and display that content for the purposes of operating, improving, and promoting the service, including featuring posts on the Rekky website and in marketing materials. You confirm that you have the necessary rights to post your content and that it does not violate any laws or third-party rights. Visibility of your content depends on your account settings.
4. Prohibited content
You agree not to post content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, threatening, or sexually explicit. You also agree not to post content that infringes anyone's intellectual property or privacy, impersonate another person, spam the platform, or use Rekky to promote products or businesses without our permission.
5. Content removal
Rekky is not liable for any inappropriate, unlawful, or infringing content posted by users. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Limitations
Rekky is an evolving product. We can't guarantee the app will be bug-free, uninterrupted, or continuously available, and we provide the service on an “as is” basis to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.
7. Termination
You may delete your account at any time via the app settings or by contacting us at contact@rekky.io. Deletion is permanent. Rekky may also suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from your use of Rekky will be handled in the courts of New South Wales. If you're a consumer in another country, your local consumer protection laws may still apply where they can't be excluded.
9. Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time and will update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
