Welcome to Rekky! By signing up and using the Rekky app, you agree to the following terms:

1. Use of the App
Rekky is a platform for discovering and sharing user-generated recommendations, starting with books. You agree to use the app in a respectful, lawful manner and in line with our community guidelines.

Some product links within Rekky may be affiliate links. This means that if you click a link and make a purchase, Rekky may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. We only use affiliate programs that are reputable and consistent with providing a fair experience for our users.

2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and not impersonate others. Your “Rekky name” (username) will be visible to others when you post, comment, or like content.

3. User Content & Rights
You retain ownership of any text, images, or other content you submit (“User Content”).
By posting or uploading User Content to Rekky, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to store, use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, and display such content in connection with the operation, promotion, and improvement of the Rekky app and related services.

You confirm that:
- You have the necessary rights or permissions to upload and share all User Content you submit;
- Your content does not infringe on any third-party rights or violate any laws.

You acknowledge that User Content you post may be visible to other Rekky users and the public, depending on your account settings.

4. Content Removal
Rekky is not liable for any inappropriate, unlawful, or infringing content posted by users. We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or delete accounts that breach these terms or our policies without prior notice.

5. Limitations
Rekky is in early public beta. While we strive for stability, we cannot guarantee the app will be bug-free or continuously available.

6. Termination
You may delete your account at any time using the “Delete Account” feature in the Account screen of the Rekky app or by contacting us at contact@rekky.io. Account deletion will permanently remove your profile and associated User Content from the app. Rekky may also suspend or terminate any user account that violates these terms or community guidelines.

7. Changes to Terms
These terms may be updated periodically. Continued use of Rekky after updates means you accept the revised terms.

Rekky is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy outlines what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

1. What We Collect
When you use Rekky, we collect:
- Your Rekky username and email address when you sign up;
- Recommendations, reviews, likes, saved items, and comments you create;
- Images, text, and other media you upload when posting content;
- Basic usage data to help improve app performance and experience.

2. How We Use Your Data
We use your information to:
- Operate and maintain the Rekky app
- Store, process, and display your uploaded images and text within the Rekky app and related services;
- Personalise your experience and surface relevant content;
- Communicate with you about updates, issues, or account changes.

3. Affiliate Tracking
‍When you click on certain product links within Rekky, the links may contain an affiliate tracking ID. This lets us know if a purchase was made after clicking, and helps support Rekky’s operations. We do not see or store any of your purchase details, this tracking is handled directly by Amazon or other affiliate partners.

4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We may use trusted third-party services (e.g., analytics, hosting, or infrastructure providers) to help operate Rekky. These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

5. Your Rights

- Request account deletion;

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure.
